Starting a Nav- Jeevan- Composter

Nav- Jeevan- Composter after 7 days

As the NJS-school has a lot of organic kitchen waste, we started a Nav-Jeevan-Composter close to our vegetable garden.

Here you can see the kids throwing their banana peel into the composter.
Collecting dried leaves and adding them into the composter is very important to get good compost! Thank you, Samuel, for helping with that!

Same amount of kitchen waste and dried leaves (or shredded newspaper) will get compost in only 90 days.

What can go in our Nav-Jeevan-Composter?

We hope that with the help of the kitchen staff we can maintain our Nav-Jeevan-Composter!
This sheet is attached to the fridge in the kitchen.
