Making Nav- Jeevan more beautiful

Cleaning the compound

This is what the school compound looked like before ten boys started to clean up the trash

During their playtime Anurag, Ashish (4th class), Sahil, Samuel, Ruraj (5th class), Shreyash (6th class), Saurab (7th class), Rishi, Ajit (8th class) and Rahul (10th class) used some plastic bags to collect the trash that the 130 hostel children leave on the compound from time to time.

The elder ones even carefully picked up some glass, found some shoes and clothes and lots of plastic bottles.

They had to wash their hands with soap properly...

... and as a small thank you- gift we gave them some sweets.

Thank you boys for making Nav- Jeevan's compound more beautiful!

  2. Awesome, awesome. Great work ladies. They should be a team in charge of keeping the school grounds clean on a monthly basis. When the grounds are clean and no plants are pulled out of the ground or destroyed then the team should be rewarded with a special treat or outing. Children should have responsibility of behaving in the hostel. No hitting, no loosing their belongings or toys. Example the football or cricket bat that was donated to them. When a child is well behaved for a month then she/he should be rewarded with special treat like ice-cream or an outing to the bazaar. A team should also be assigned to the library. It is their responsibility that when books are checked out they come back to the library. They dust the books and sweep the library room and keep the carpet clean.
